As the gallery filled, a mixture of chatter, discussion and sporadic bursts of laughter enveloped the air. A glance around the room uncovered a truly colourful array of people from different industries, professions, backgrounds and ages who were sharing their knowledge, ideas and stories side-by-side.

If you had asked Silvia a year ago, how she thought the book and launch for Leadership is Upside Down would be received, her answer would have been a modest one.

Silvia’s ability to trust her intuition from the outset, that ‘gut’ feeling we all have, has not only played a role in the creation the i4 Neuroleader Model, but has also inspired the team and all who she comes into contact with.

For many of us, trusting a gut-feeling rather than just facts is not a normal practice and can be challenging, but Silvia proves just how rewarding this approach to leadership and business can be.

It’s hard to imagine that a few years ago it was unheard of to have such an eclectic mix of people in one room - from coaches to designers, neuroscientists to business professionals and everyone in-between - all coming together for a common cause.

But in Silvia’s view:

“Society wants to transition to a more collaborative, agile and innovative way of working and some of the behaviours we used in the past, no longer serve us.”

Guests were given the opportunity to be immersed in an imaginative and inspirational space that embodied Silvia’s vision. With the regular formalities of a typical book launch turned upside-down, individuals were welcomed into a unique and lively environment.

Patrons were pampered with personal greetings, moorish South-American style chocolates from Tejas Del Solar and an array of award winning refreshments from our delightful sponsors - Fox Creek Wines and Robinvale Organic Wines.

From the captivating, hand-crafted infinity mirrors that lined the wall of the bar area, to the subdivided sections of the main room, guests were offered creative and fun ways to engage with the space. With a juggler, magician and a purple ping pong table on site, people were pulled into a frenzy of laughter and excitement.

We would like to thank you all for such a gracious reception on the evening of July 18th, 2014 at CATC Design School (Sydney, The Rocks).

You truly exceeded our expectations and warmed our hearts. For us, seeing Silvia’s vision transformed into reality and shared with all of you was the highlight of the night. It is amazing how one ‘aha’ moment in life can manifest and evolve into conversations and actions that hold the potential to change the world.

We hope this experience has ignited your curiosity to explore what inspires you, to learn how to nurture your imagination and tap into your intuition, and to become more aware of the benefits of an integrated and balanced brain.

Whilst our aspirations could be seen as ideological, we believe everyone has the ability to develop their personal leadership and be part of collectively redesigning a new leadership future.

As the next generation of leaders, you have the opportunity to join us as we strive to democratise leadership and neuroscience.

The world needs leaders like you, now more than ever!
