Assignments
Details on how we assess your completion:Assignment 1 encompasses a hands-on experience with your own i4 Neuroleader™ 360° Feedback Assessment. You also have access to the i4 Neuroleader™ Course. Completing this additional 40 hour course is a prerequisite for being able to finish this certification program.
This additional course serves as a self-paced learning tool designed to enrich the understanding of the i4 Neuroleader™ Model for individuals at any level. It offers additional development opportunities post the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment results. The course's focus is on nurturing leadership competencies crucial for the Imagination Age, emphasising the optimisation of brain function for enhanced overall well-being. Participants are guided toward evolving into leaders characterised by integration, inspiration, imagination, and intuition.
This assignment includes a 1-on-1 Zoom debrief session with one of our expert coaches. During this session, your i4 Neuroleader™ Report results will be thoroughly explained. The session not only serves as a chance for you to understand the assessment debrief process but also allows you to prepare yourself for your practice debrief sessions in Assignment 2. This assignment serves as an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment, the tool you will use with clients or staff post-certification.
If you have purchased both programs simultaneously and haven't previously completed this course, we recommend dedicating time to its lessons before proceeding to subsequent sections of the certification program. Full certification is granted upon the completion of both programs.
Assignment 2 requires you to carry out two practice debrief sessions using the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment. You're free to select any participants for these sessions, including clients, colleagues, friends, or family members. For this task, you must choose one participant who agrees to let you record the Zoom meeting. Our team will evaluate your session, offer feedback on your debrief, and confirm that the report has been accurately debriefed.
Assignment 3 marks the final step toward obtaining your certification. Through a 1,000-word written reflection entry, you can share insights gained from your experience and elaborate on how you plan to apply the i4 Neuroleader™ Model & Methodology in your practice. We will ask you to summarise your key takeaways and share your opinions/ideas in regards to why it is important to ‘create brain-friendly leaders, teams and cultures’. We accept submissions in English and Spanish.
Throughout the program, we have included knowledge quizzes to help solidify your understanding of the material. These quizzes are designed as tools to aid in memory retention, and their outcomes do not impact your overall success in completing the program.
Program Journey
Getting started with our program is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4!Once you enrol, our team will process your registration and provide access within 24 hours. First start working through the lessons of the i4 Neuroleader™ Course, complete your own 360° Feedback Assessment and attend your 1-on-1 virtual debrief. These activities constitute Assignment 1 and must be completed before advancing to Step 2.
Step 2After finishing Step 1, you're ready to begin the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment Certification. During Assignment 2, you'll need to involve two colleagues to participate in the 360° Feedback Assessment personally. This step will provide you with the opportunity to hone your skills in debriefing the i4 Neuroleader™ Report.
Step 3Continue with the lessons and submit Assignment 3.
Step 4Your submission will be evaluated by our team, and within 7 days, you will receive your certificate of completion, an i4 Neuroleader™ Practitioner stamp, along with access to purchase and manage assessment projects for your clients at our discounted prices. Yes it is! The i4 Neuroleader™ Model & Methodology was first conceptualised by Silvia Damiano, who founded the About my Brain™ Institute in 2009.
With a science background combined with 20 years of experience in leadership development,
Silvia created the i4 Neuroleader™ Model after collating and analysing the most recent and cutting edge neuroscience findings applied to leadership.
Other inputs that contributed to the development of the model and assessment, included interviews with experts, surveys and analysis of the traits of inspirational leaders conducted at a global scale across a variety of industries over a 4 year period.
Once the i4 Neuroleader™ Model was tested and its impact studied, the process of developing the assessment commenced in 2012. The outcome of this research was the development of a 128-item questionnaire which assesses the abilities, traits, attitudes and behaviours that underpin the meta-competencies of Performance, Collaboration, Innovation and Agility.
The assessment and certification programs were officially launched in 2013 after a period of prototyping, testing, and statistical analysis. Since then, the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment has been completed by over 30,000 people in every single continent and across a variety of industries in the public and private sectors.
In 2014, Silvia Damiano published the book ‘Leadership is Upside Down’ which
describes the research and the rationale of the i4 Neuroleader™ Model as well as the business case of why we need to look at leadership through a new lens to thrive in the 21st Century.

The i4 Neuroleader™ Model, Methodology and Assessment is a unique body of work that started in 2009, combining the output of years of research and Silvia Damiano’s original insights. The i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment Certification has been designed to train individuals on how to use, debrief and coach with the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment. You will also learn how to use the ready-made teaching resources in your coaching or consulting practice.
The teaching resources cannot be used without purchasing either the Self or 360° Feedback Feedback i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment on a per-person basis and keeping your annual i4 Neuroleader™ Practitioner License active. These resources are designed to enhance the implementation of the i4 Neuroleader™ Assessment and Practitioners are required to purchase either assessment for every participant when conducting the i4 Neuroleader™ Program. This serves as a licensing fee to use the Intellectual Property and the teaching resources offered.
The Self Assessment is a more affordable option to cover the licensing fees when conducting the program (a nominal fee per user), while the 360° Feedback Assessment provides you with a more comprehensive package for the benefit of your clients, in addition to providing the 360° Feedback scores. This fee per participant, constitutes the corresponding royalty for using this Intellectual Property.
If you would like to host a public program and be listed on the About my Brain Institute website, please contact us to discuss your case and apply for a license. Organisations wishing to include any portion of the i4 Neuroleader™ IP in a public offering must reach out to us to secure a license.
Please note that this certification program only permits i4 Neuroleader™ Practitioners to use the IP for the purpose of delivering programs sold as part of a private consulting service within organisations or to individual coaching clients.

All our prices are based on USD. You can view prices in your local currency at the current exchange rate by using the currency drop-down menu in the top-right corner, which is automatically set for your region. Prices in currencies other than USD may fluctuate daily due to exchange rate changes. To see our fixed pricing, please select USD. When you make a purchase, the total amount charged will reflect the exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
We are an Australian company and all pricing listed on our website is exclusive of Australian Sales Tax (GST), which is 10%. Tax only applies to Australian residents and/or registered Australian companies and 10% will be added when purchasing products and services on our website. Based on the digital service tax (DST), our offering falls into the category of ‘educational exempt products and services’ for most regions around the world. This means that for non-Australian residents and/or companies, the sales tax does not apply.
To make payment more manageable, we offer the flexibility to divide the program cost into two monthly payments. The first installment is due at the time of enrollment, followed by the second installment due 30 days afterward. Should you finish the lessons in under two months, the outstanding balance will need to be paid sooner to obtain your certificate. Please contact us to set up this payment plan. Full payment after the second invoice is required to maintain access to the program.
