A Family Passion Project: Journey Into Mythology In The Era Of AI

In a rapidly evolving world driven by artificial intelligence, it is easy to lose sight of our essential humanity. We find ourselves constantly adapting to new technologies and navigating complex challenges. Amid this whirlwind, I’ve found an ever-growing need to anchor ourselves to the timeless traits and ideals that define us as human beings.

This need to reconnect became a focal point of my presentation on “Women in Leadership” at the RANZCR 2023 Conference in Brisbane. There, I introduced the audience to a project close to my heart, the creation of two beautiful Oracle Card Decks:

This is a collaborative family endeavor aimed at delving into and expanding our creative faculties.

Our journey through this project was steeped in extensive research, where we meticulously crafted the narrative and visual language for the cards. For one of the decks, we aspired to encompass a global perspective, so we carefully curated a selection of Goddess figures to represent a variety of cultures, all within a collection of sixty cards.

The culmination of our efforts is an elegant deck that not only portrays a myriad of leadership attributes but also embodies the collective wisdom of diverse civilizations. Intriguingly, we found that the virtues these ancient goddesses represent closely parallel the values we uphold as pivotal in contemporary society.

The Resurgence of Mythology in Modern Times

Throughout history, humans have turned to mythology to make sense of the world around them and to reflect on their own lives. Stories of gods and goddesses have been a source of wisdom, inspiration, and guidance for countless generations. I discovered throughout this process that in the age of AI and automation, these timeless tales are making a powerful comeback.

Mythology can offer narratives that celebrate the diversity of human qualities and experiences. It reminds us of our connection to nature, the importance of balance, and the enduring values that have shaped our societies for millennia. By delving into the stories of these deities from various cultures, we can tap into a deep well of wisdom that can help us navigate the challenges of today’s world.

One of the most captivating aspects of Goddess mythology is the emphasis on feminine qualities. These goddesses embody traits such as nurturing, intuition, empowerment, and compassion. As technology creeps into our lives,  these qualities have become more important than ever to stay in touch with our humanity.

Why are the ‘Goddesses Of The World’ Oracle Cards useful?

‘Goddesses Of The World’ Oracle Cards

Oracle cards, in general, can be used as a tool of self-reflection, or they can be used just for fun. They can also help us think about the importance of:

  1. Embodying both masculine and feminine qualities in order to thrive. While business and technology might embody the masculine, the goddesses remind us of the importance of feminine energies like empathy and creativity.
  2. Learning about representations from different cultures fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of diversity. It encourages inclusivity and the recognition of the unique strengths that each culture brings to the table.
  3. The goddesses' stories often mirror our own journeys and challenges. By drawing inspiration from their tales, we can gain insights into our own lives, develop resilience, and take the time to reflect on what is best when making decisions.
  4. Exploring mythology can be a communal experience. Sharing stories and insights from these Oracle Cards can foster connection and open up meaningful discussions with others.

Oracle cards are an easy way to represent the 'archetypes of mankind'—or universal traits like strength, ambition, and passion, making them ideal tools for exploring mental health.

Invitation to enhance your inspiration and creativity and bond with your family

This project has been driven by our deep passion for personal development, which has been nurtured and shared across generations. Our inspirational cards are not just a product; they are a labor of love and a testament to the power of family creativity. Inspiration is essential in our day-to-day and keeps feelings of hope alive while focusing on the positive aspects of our existence.

How do we inspire ourselves to greatness when nothing less will do? How do we inspire everyone around us? I sometimes think it is by using the work of others. We need inspiration, because in order to build our nation, we must exceed our own expectations.

This project has allowed us to bond, collaborate, tap into our collective creative energies, and get inspired by timeless wisdom. It was a way for me to deepen my connection to my adult children, who brought their unique perspectives and talents to the table.

Whether used individually as inspiration and self-coaching or as a way to connect with family and friends, these cards can be a source of transformation.

Each card has a QR code at the back and inside the guidebook, for the user to easily find relevant information about each Goddess. Additionally, our Spirit Animals deck, dedicated to tapping into the wisdom of the natural world, also incorporates this convenient QR code system. Complementing each card is a wealth of neuroscience-based strategies aimed at fostering personal development.

Whether purchasing these cards for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for someone special, we warmly encourage you to explore their detailed descriptions and the strategic insights provided here.
